Overview and Mission
Wissahickon Educational Opportunities Foundation (WEOF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 that provides funding to support innovative and engaging instruction, activities, and experiences for all students in the Wissahickon School District. The opportunities created through WEOF funding aim to foster intellectual, emotional, social, and cultural growth for our students.
In conjunction with generous donors and in partnership with our schools and community, WEOF has provided more than $500,000 in learning grants that allow Wissahickon teachers and staff to innovate and enrich teaching and learning for WSD students.
WEOF aims to ensure the highest level of educational innovation and resources for teachers and students to enrich all students' experiences. Our goals include
- Strengthening and enriching teaching and learning through the development of innovative programs
- Investing in and cultivating ideas that inspire Wissahickon students to grow
- Supporting additional training and resources for educators in our district
- Providing the tools to prepare students for future success
- Building community support for our district and our students
The hope is that WSD students become lifelong learners, an endeavor that WEOF proudly supports while they are part of the WSD school community.
